Where: Georgetown neighborhood in Seattle, Washington

Not only is this a race, but it’s a fundraiser with food trucks and a beer garden. We will donate proceeds from the  BEER GARDEN to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Western Washington and Alaska. Many thanks to Georgetown Brewing for making this possible. Come race and raise a pint for the kids.

Pre-Register and get a $5 discount. Day of is $35 plus tax; Pre-Reg is $30 plus tax.

* The Men Cat 5 and Womens Cat 3 will be scored separately and championship medals (only) awarded separately.  Master BARR points will be calculated as set out on WSBA website.

Fields may be combined or cancelled due to rider turnout.

Location: The race is located in the Georgetown Neighborhood of Seattle. Start finish line is at 5200 Denver St. South, Seattle, Washington 98108.

Course Description: This is a flat, fast course with six corners and relatively smooth pavement. The course starts counterclockwise on Denver Ave, then takes a left on 5th Avenue. The course then goes left on Lucille, left on 6th, and right on Brandon. It then takes left on Maynard onto Denver. Course direction may be changed per officials guidance.

Technical Service: Please bring extra wheels for the wheel pit. We will have neutral support from Recycled Cycles and some neutral wheels from Joe the Bicycle Fixer.  Given the limited wheels, please provide your own.

Race numbers and Licenses: WSBA race numbers will be used and can be purchased at http://www.wsbaracing.com. Rental numbers are available for $10, with $5 refunded upon return of number. Please wear two race numbers. Body numbers must be on the RIGHT side and we encourage your second number to be the frame number.

Cost: $35 for standard categories plus WA State sales tax. USA Cycling license required to race. One day license for category 5 men and 4 women is $10 and available at the race. All other categories must have an USA Cycling annual license ($60), which can be purchased at http://www.usacycling.org (not for sale at the race).  $10 discount for racing more than one category.

Fundraiser: There will be beer and wine available for purchase in a beer/wine garden located in the parking lot at Georgetown Brewing (21+ only). Georgetown Brewing has set aside one keg of Bob’s Brown Ale, which will be offered for sale as a means of raising money for the Ronald McDonald House. All sales of Bob’s Brown Ale will be going to the charity and we hope you will raise a pint to honor kids fighting cancer. We encourage you to stay around to have some pints and enjoy the afternoon and evening.

 

There will be food!  Two foodtrucks will be on site for the day, so come hungry.
