The Keller Rohrback Cycling Team women are headed to the Cascade Cycling Classic next week. It takes a full team of strong racers to compete at races on the National Race Calendar (NRC) and our own Amy Dearden, Cheryl Thonney, and Tricia Bailey will be joined by 5 regional women bringing some serious fire power. Rhae Shaw, Jessica Hannah, Jasmine Glaesser, Tara Whitten and Leah Kirchmann will round out the racers and our own Christine Chang will provide the support we need to be successful. With the team that has come together, we are well positioned for stage podiums, overall General Classification and the Best Young Rider Competition. That is saying quite a bit considering we will be racing against full teams of full time professional cyclists. Watch Cyclingnews.com for results and daily coverage of the race.
We appreciate the support from our sponsors (Keller Rohrback LLP, Slalom Consulting, PotentRX, nuun, Choco #9, and Raleigh) to enable us to go to these big races and bring together a competitive team.
About the race: “The 31st annual Bend Memorial Clinic Cascade Cycling Classic will be held July 20-25, 2010. It is the longest consecutively run elite stage race in the country and has attracted most of North America’s top cyclists and teams over the years.” Six days of racing will push us to our limits.
